Walnut Snowball Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup of all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups of chopped walnuts
1/2 Tbsp sugar
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of softened butter
1/2 cup of powdered sugar

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

Mix the 1 cup of flour,  pinch of salt and 1/2 Tbsp sugar together in a bowl. Once combined, add the 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Add the 1 1/2 cups of chopped walnuts.

Add the 1/2 cup of butter in small pieces and combine together.

Make small round ball with the dough and place them about an inch a part on parchment paper on a baking pan.

And bake for about 35 minutes until they are golden.

Once you remove the cookies from the over wait till they cool just a bit, enough to touch, and then roll the cookies in the powdered sugar. The powdered sugar will stick to the warm cookies.

Once you remove them from the oven let them cool enough to touch, but still warm enough to adhere to the powdered sugar. Roll the cookies in the powdered sugar.

These are my favorite holiday cookies along with the peanut butter blossoms.

What's one of your favorite holiday cookies?
